Éric Lapointe About

Éric Lapointe (born September 28, 1969 in Pointe-aux-Trembles in the east of Montreal) is a singer-songwriter from Quebec. He became known in 1994 with his album Obsession, whose excerpts “Promised Land”, “Anything” and “Marie Stone” became hits.

Lapointe is the first Quebec (French-speaking) male artist to cross the milestone of one million copies sold in Quebec. It also received a parliamentary mention.

He has also made several appearances in the cinema and between 2014 and 2019 he coached the singing reality TV show La Voix.
